Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

Orange Choco-Chip Cookies

So here in Indiana this was the first week of school!?!

What’s up with that!? Yuck I say, yuck!

I am holding onto summer with a firm grip until the first day of fall pries it from my fingers, dramatic? That’s how I roll

I feel like we never started school till at least the last day week of August, August was never part of the school year growing up.

I needed at least 3 full months too have any ounce of excitement for school in me. When did do your kiddos start school this year? I’m glad I have at least 2 or 3 more years with no school for my little

Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies with Orange Glaze

Our fair just finished last week and these are the cookies that I made for the bake-it competition.

The main ingredient was orange and I was so happy because the couple hours before and after I made these it filled my house with the wonderful fragrant of oranges, such an under-rated fruit

These cookies are filled with orange zest and orange juice and topped with a sweet orange glazed that is also speckled with orange zest

These are the type of cookies that I want to send in the mail to my friends and family, they are so good and a little more special than just plain chocolate chip. The orange and chocolate combo sends them over the edge!

Orange ChocoChip Cookies

I love flavor combos that are perfect together like orange and chocolate. . . what’s your favorite flavor combo?

Does your county put on a fair? Or do you just stick to going to the state fair?

CONFESSION TIME: When I lived in Illinois, we went to the Illinois State Fair because Christina Aguilera was performing! It was an epic concert and I was totally obsessed
